Like most of my tablescapes this one was inspired by new plates I happened to find. I found the leopard plates for .80 on clearance at Hobby Lobby. I’m hoping to host a few friends for a little brunch now that our kids are all back in school. I think this fall tablescape is perfect for a girls brunch.
I used taper candles in orange (also from Hobby Lobby) down the center of the table, jute placemats, and a fall runner topped with a leopard blanket scarf to tie in with the plates.
I love the look of layered plates and this place setting has several of them. I enjoy collecting dishes and typically find them at stores like Dollar Tree, TJ maxx, or Hobby Lobby. I’m always on the hunt for a good clearance sale too. I’ve been asked where I store all of my dishes and to be honest they are starting to take over our kitchen. A garage “makeover” is in our future plans though and dishes/table linens will be getting there own storage shelf or cabinet. My husband is thrilled. ?
Okay, now that we’ve talked about the dishes let’s get back to the brunch. My plan is to have a handful of friends over to snack and visit. I’m sharing a simple recipe below that I’m planning to make that day. It’s for Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cheesecake bars. I’ll admit that the decorating is more my thing so I love preparing one or two simple recipes and then adding some store bought treats to the spread.
I can’t wait to share more about our brunch with you but, even if you aren’t hosting anyone soon this simple fall recipe is definitely one your family will enjoy too! I can’t believe fall is almost here, it’s truly one of my favorite times of the year!
